1. Ok Jaanu
Shaad Ali tried to remake Mani Ratnam’s O Kadhal Kanmani but failed to do so successfully. The movie was one of the first releases of 2017 and also turned out to be the first flop of the movie. The estimated budget was around 28 crores but the movie collected only 23 crores.
Vishal Bharadwaj’s film the most expensive movie made by him with a budget of 70 crores. The movie was one of the most talked about ones of the year but sadly, the total collection was only 23 crores.
Abbas launched his son Mustafa Burmawala with much fanfare but his debut film that also featured Kiara Advani failed miserably. The budget was 30 crores while the movie earned only 3.25 crores.
4. Aa Gaya Hero
Govinda tried to make a big comeback with Aa Gaya Hero but sadly, the viewers were not ready for his heroism yet. The movie earned only 2.5 crores which was much less than the budget of the movie.
5. Anaarkali Of Aarah
Everything about the movie from actors, music, sound, cinematography, production design, dialogues, and direction was good but something did not work out well and it was probably the second half of the movie.
Rahul Bose’s inspiring movie about a 13-year-old girl who climbs Mount Everest to become the youngest girl ever to do so failed to bring the viewers to the cinemas. The budget was around 5 crores and the movie made only 2.5 crores.
7. Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana
Akshara Hassan and Gurmeet Chaudhary’s comedy film fared very badly at the big screen. While the budget of the movie was around 10 to 15 crores, the movie was able to recover less than a crore.
Sonakshi Sinha’s Noor turned out to be one of the biggest flops of 2017 so far. Made on a budget of 19 crores, Noor collected a total amount of something around 8 crores only.
After Govinda, Raveena Tandon tried to make her comeback with a thriller. Even though the movie did not have a much bigger budget, the movie was able to recover 2.5 crores only (which is much less than the total budget).
10. Begum Jaan
Vidya Balan was not able to attract a lot of viewers to the theatres in Kahani 2 and the same thing happened with Begum Jaan. The total collection of the movie stands at 20 crores, making it a flop at the box-office. The movie was made on a budget of around 30 crores.
11. Sarkar 3
The third sequel to Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar had an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Ronit Roy, Amit Sadh, Yami Gautam, Manoj Bajpai, Jackie Shroff but things did not go well for the movie. It tanked at the box-office as it was not even able to collect a total of 10 crores.
12. Meri Pyaari Bindu
Parineeti’s comeback film with Ayushmann Khurrana opposite her also turned out to be a dud despite the excitement around the movie. The movie collected something around 9.30 crores which makes it a clear flop.
