Golmaal Again 1st day collection report: Rohit Shetty and his Golmaal team are back with a bang. The fourth instalment of the famous Golmaal franchise, Golmaal Again was released yesterday. As expected, the movie is off to an earth-shattering start at the domestic box office. In terms of occupancy, Golmaal Again has recorded the highest opening of 2017. It is the best start for the Bollywood film in the last two years and on par with last year release Sultan. The movie had a great start in the morning shows as it recorded around 70% occupancy in the morning shows. For the second time in 2017 after Bahubali 2, there were Housefull boards outside the single screens across the country. The movie witnessed tremendous numbers throughout the day. The overall occupancy on the first day was around 80%. The occupancy is actually on par and even higher at places than Bahubali – The Conclusion. Mumbai and Gujarat circuits put up unbelievable numbers as the occupancy touches 95%. The movie took full advantage of the holiday and the numbers are actually above expectations.
Golmaal Again 1st Day Collection: Official Numbers
Golmaal Again 1st day collection is 30.14 crores. These are insane numbers considering that the film has been released on just 3500 screens. The first collection would have easily crossed 35 crores mark had the film been released on 4000 to 4200 screens.
Golmaal Again has comfortably beaten all Hindi releases of the year. It is now the second highest opening day grosser of 2017 beating the Bollywood films like Tubelight, Raees and Jab Harry Met Sejal. Golmaal Again is now Ajay Devgn’s second highest opening day grosser.
This is a great start for the movie and all eyes are now set on how it will perform on Saturday and Sunday. The reviews are good and it seems that the movie will post 80+ crore opening weekend.
