Kangana Ranaut’s Simran and Farhan Akhtar’s Lucknow Central were released this Friday and as expected both movies have tanked at the box office. Both movies were released with zero pre-release buzz and the fate was sealed even before the release. Simran and Lucknow Central had a terrible opening at box office. Lucknow Central First Weekend Box Office Collection Report
Farhan Akhtar’s film has been struggling from the very first day. After a disastrous opening with the collection of 2.04 crores, the movie saw a growth of 38% on its second day to earn 2.82 crores. On Sunday, the movie jumps further and earned around 3.3 crores. The first weekend collection of the movie stands at around 8 crores.
The total budget of the film is around 30 crores and it needs to earn around 35 crores to be in a safe zone. Well, after a poor opening weekend, the movie is no struggling to even cross 20 crores. The other release of the week, Kangana Ranaut’s Simran has comfortably beaten Lucknow Central. Lucknow Central is Farhan Akhtar’s fourth consecutive flop after Wazir, Rock On 2 and The Fakir Of Venice.
